Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026 - Effective date: June 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the junto platform. By accessing or using junto, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully. junto is operated by junto Pty Ltd (ABN 000 000 000). For questions, contact hello@getjunto.com.au.

1. About junto

junto is an online marketplace that connects people planning events (hosts) with event service providers (vendors) across Australia. junto facilitates introductions and communications between hosts and vendors but is not a party to any agreement entered into between them.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use junto. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements. junto is only available to residents and businesses in Australia.

3. Account registration

You must create an account to access certain features of junto. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. junto reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

4. Hosts

4.1 Use of the platform

Hosts may use junto to browse vendor profiles, send enquiries, and manage bookings. junto is free for hosts to use.

4.2 Accuracy of information

Hosts are responsible for providing accurate event details when making enquiries. junto is not liable for any issues arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by hosts.

4.3 Bookings and agreements

Any booking or agreement is made directly between the host and the vendor. junto is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for the performance of either party's obligations.

5. Vendors

5.1 Application and approval

Vendors must apply to list on junto and are subject to approval at junto's sole discretion. junto reserves the right to decline or revoke any vendor application or listing without explanation.

5.2 Accuracy and conduct

Vendors must ensure all profile information, pricing, availability, and images are accurate and up to date. Vendors must not misrepresent their services, credentials, or availability.

5.3 Commission

Vendors agree to pay junto a commission on bookings completed through the platform. The current rates are:

  • Founding vendor rate: 8% - available to vendors who join during the early access period. This rate is locked in permanently for as long as your account is active.
  • Standard rate: 12% - applies to vendors who join after the founding period closes.

Commission is charged only on confirmed bookings where a deposit has been paid through the platform. No commission is charged on enquiries, quotes, or bookings that do not complete.

5.4 ABN requirement

All vendors must hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) and provide it during the application process. junto verifies ABNs as part of the approval process.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not use junto to:

  • Circumvent the platform by directing hosts or vendors to transact outside junto in order to avoid platform fees
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without written permission
  • Create multiple accounts or share login credentials

7. Content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload to junto (photos, descriptions, etc.) but grant junto a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with operating the platform and marketing junto's services.

junto's name, logo, design, and platform code are owned by junto Pty Ltd. You must not reproduce or use them without written permission.

8. Reviews and ratings

junto may allow hosts and vendors to leave reviews of each other following completed bookings. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine experience. junto reserves the right to remove reviews that breach these terms or our community standards, and to require admin approval before reviews are published.

9. Disclaimers

junto provides a marketplace platform and does not endorse, warrant, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any vendor's services. junto is not responsible for any dispute, injury, loss, or damage arising from transactions between hosts and vendors.

To the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), junto excludes all implied warranties and conditions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, junto's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to junto in the 12 months preceding the claim; or (b) AUD $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

11. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are a consumer, you may have rights that cannot be excluded, including guarantees that services will be provided with due care and skill.

12. Termination

junto may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these terms, or for any other reason at junto's reasonable discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@getjunto.com.au. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will do so.

13. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute with junto, please contact us first at hello@getjunto.com.au. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree to mediation before commencing legal proceedings, unless urgent interlocutory relief is required.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

14. Changes to these terms

junto may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. Continued use of junto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
